Back to work

Here is a new plate I've mentioned before. Just out of the kiln. Beautiful deep green, orange, pink, white streaky glass was slumped into a four sections mold....I think it turned out nicely. What do you think? like it/hate it?  Will be on Etsy soon.

Hello

Is anyone still here? :)I hope that you all are having a great Summer!

Long time since I posted... I have my reasons - I don't want to bore you with details. But now I am back and I'll try keep my blog updated. I've noticed that many of my fellow bloggers choose Facebook business page, Pinterest etc to socialize with fans and friends - it is faster, easier... but blogging is more personal - and I missed it. I can't fill all the missed posts so lets start fresh now.

I had to take an urgent break from my work. I just shut the door of my studio and left for Hungary for almost two months. So when I came back few days ago the first thing I needed to do in my workshop was cleaning and organizing. After several hours of hard work my workspace is better than ever and I am ready for work. A serving plate  is in the kiln now for the first procedure - will be ready in two days - I'll show you then.
Until, here are a few pics of my well-organized (OK, it's not a kitchen! :) ) studio:

Happy news: it is official now: Glassimo jewelry and home decor will be on display and selling in the incredible and unique shop called mixture.

Mixture is a well respected modern furniture, accessory and design shop in San Diego's Little Italy neighborhood.
It is a big opportunity for me to be part of the designers this exquisite store carries.

Stana

Another exciting news: as a lucky member of the awesome Artisan Group I've got a fantastic opportunity again: I'll be designing a piece of jewelry for the gorgeous Stana Katic .Her stylist is looking specifically for jewelry to be used onABC's "Castle", for press/red carpet appearances, and for an upcoming movie, "CBGB" in which Stana has been recently cast.
I'm thrilled! I'll create a fused glass necklace just for her... I've started to make sketches... I will definitely show you the final piece!

I can not thank enough to Valerie and the whole Artisan Group for being a wonderful team of individuals. The best and more helpful group in my professional and personal life. Thank you all, love you all! judit

Bohemian - Vintage

I'm happy to announce that my Artfire shop is now open. :-) So far with just few jewelry pieces but the collection will be growing day by day.
Here you will find "Old World" inspired jewelry with a modern twist. I use vintage and found items, old photographs and hand-made papers, beads, hand-made fused glass pieces, scraps of fabric, etc. and put them into a new context. Some items are more romantic, others are more whimsical - a little French, a little bohemian for today's women with personality. Romantic but not too cutesy or shabby.
