Zandra Rhodes The Princess of Punk

I saw an interesting exhibition today with my daughter : ZANDRA RHODES – A Lifelong Love Affair with Textiles. Nothing is modest about the British Zandra who lives in part time in San Diego !:) Her fuchsia hair, her multi-colored eye shadows -and of course - her textiles and dresses - so vivid and gleeful. Her famous style is inspired by vintage clothes, ethnic design, punk , the rainbow and anything else!:) You would not say that she is a big fan of minimalism:) Even tough her style a "little" too much for me, I adore her uniqueness and provocative freedom to be true to herself. My favorite work from her is the Aida costumes. Amazing!!!!

Az angol  textiltervezo Zandra - aki az ev felet Londonban, masik felet San Diegoban tolti - minden, csak nem visszafogott, minimalista muvesz!:)  Mar a megjelenese is provokalo: fukszia haj, ezerszinu szemhejfestek, hatalmas,meghokkento ekszerek, szinek kavalkadja:)  Stilusara nagy hatassal van a vintage es kulonbozo etnik mintak (foleg Azsia, Afrika)  a londoni punk ,  a szivarvany es minden ami alatta, folotte van!:)  A textiljeit szeretem, a ruhai nekem egy "kicsit sok":)  Ettol fuggetlenul minden elismeresem azoke, akik egyediek mernek es tudnak maradni, akik huek onmagukhoz ugy,hogy kozben feszegetik a hatarokat, uj tartalmat adnak a "szep" fogalmanak. 
Nekem leginkabb az Aida-hoz tervezett kosztumjei tetszenek, ezek zsenialisak!!

My Friday Etsy Pick - 11/5/2010

I chose this oversized scarf for today's pick. I LOVE scarves - eventhough I can barely wear them here in San Diego (Over 90 degrees!!! now...) I have a similar scarf in the same color - one of my recent favorite colors is mustard :) ( and the fav color combo is mustard with gray) Anyway - this is a really cool knitted scarf from topher & company's shop. Check out his shop - you will find great stuff there.

Mai Etsy valasztasom ez a szep nagy sal! :) Nagyon szeretem a  szep nagy salakat, kendoket -csakhat itt San Diegoban sajnos ritkan hordhatom oket, most is tobb,mint 30 fok van...)Mustar szin ujabban  amugy is nagy kedvenc ( kulonosen a mustar/szurke kombinacio). Ez a gyonyoru kotott sal a szinten San Diego-i !!:) topher & company.   Etsy boltjabol valo. Erdemes korulnezni itt, szuper ! Zenenek pedig egy masik szeretett San Diego-i fiu : Jason Mraz :) Szep hetveget!:)
