MS Charity

Once again, as a member of The Artisan Group we have another great opportunity to help out a worthy charity, this time our donations will benefit The National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, Connecticut Chapter.

It is a devastating, terrible chronic illness and patients desperately need effective treatment options. To provide these options, continuous research and development is absolutely crucial which relies on joint efforts of private industry, government and charitable individuals and groups. Only this collaboration can lead to better treatment and eventually a cure.

I'm very proud of The Artisan Group which is always there to help. My fellow members are the best!

My donation for this event is this hand-made fused glass necklace. Special glass layers were used to create this unique look.

Ughhhhhh... It was a challenging project!:) When I realized that I have
4-5 days all together to create something I panicked a little....:) One
firing process is about 14-15+ hours... And the way I make a pendant is
not the simplest way.... I don't make shortcuts... I always try to do
things differently... (That's why no Glassimo pieces are look-alike)...
So I had plenty of ideas but no time... And suddenly I just came up with
this glass-lace design... I knew that one of her favorite colors is
red... and I added a little silver... somehow it turned out a little
Japanese - isn't it?:) I hope that she would not mind... I was running
around San Diego to get sterling silver rings.. I did:) And I express
ordered the Italian Sterling Silver Necklace... Thanks God it arrived
fast! Now I need to make some final touches, gift wrap it and write a
card to Ginnifer. And it's ready to ship. :) Let's hope she will like
it - and wear it at least once.:)

Huuuuuu....Volt ebben a projektben egy kis kihivas! Rajottem, hogy mindossze 4-5 napom van alkotni valamit...ami foleg azert keves, mert egy egetes/hutes procedura az minimum 14-15 ora. Raadasul sosem a legegyszerubb modszereket valasztom, szeretek minden darabnal valami ujat kitalalni....Igy volt ez most is. Otletek voltak, ido keves. Szerettem volna "valami mast", eloszor egeszen mas elkepzeleseim voltak - aztan egyszer cssak bejott ez az uveg-csipke otlet. Azt tudtam, hogy Ginnifer egyik kedvenc szine a piros, ehhez adtam egy pici ezustot, egettem jonehanyszor, csiszoltam, ujra egettem...De elkeszult!:) Kozben ezust karikakert szaladgaltam, expressz gyors olasz ezustlancot rendeltem _ Halistennek ideert idoben!:) Meg nehany utolso simitas, aztan csomagolom, irok egy lapot Ginnifernek ( mit irjak?) es feladom. Remelem tetszeni fog - es legalabb egyszer hordani is fogja!:)

Working, working.....

I'm documenting all my work before I'll take them to Los Angeles today.
This is another three-piece set... two snack plates and one serving
plate... The colors are now red, amber, green with a very little
dichroic accent.  A little bit more formal - but not much.


Dokumentalom magamnak a "szallitmanyt" , amit ma viszek fel Los Angelesbe. S ha mar fotozom, megmutatom!:) Ez is egy szett, 3 darabos, ket kis talka es egy talalo. Ezuttal piros, zold, barna , plusz egy cseppnyi dichro uveg, amitol kicsit unnepelyesebb, de megsem tul formalis. Arazom, csomagolom, viszem, leadom. :)

New item on my Etsy shop. After working with raw industrial materials I was into some sparks :) - so I created these Iridescent Glass coasters. Iridescent Glass has a subtle soft elegance all on its own - that's why I did not want to add any accent design. What do you think?

Uj termek az Etsy boltomban.  Az elozo nyers ipari femek utan most egy kis csillogasra vagytam:) - igy szulettek ezek a pohar-alatetek "szinjatszos" uvegbol. Nekem mar az boven eleg, ha valami csillog, ilyenkor mar nem szeretem tovabb cifrazni, igy most sem tettem. Szerintem igy ervenyesul az ilyen uveg sajatossaga, kulonlegessege. Barmi hozzadas mar (nekem) sok lenne. Mit szoltok?:)
