West Elm and the Stacking Vases

We are about to start a big renovation of our house (brrrrrr) which means new furniture too (though I like that part!:) So we have started to check out our favorite furniture stores for options. I don't want to furnish it from one store only - I like "fusion" interiors. To me that means mixing modern and old, sleek design with rustic, handmade with industrial, store buy with flea markets finds etc.

Since I have an interior design  degree and my daughter is majoring in interior design it is a passion in our house.:)
So we went to one of my favorite stores - West Elm. Beautiful stuff - as always. But what has really caught my eyes were a display on a dining table: beauuuuutifulll wine bottles!I do too collect wine bottles and any kind of glass jar if I like their color and/or shape.
This collection kept in a green-yellow-blue  color scheme - isn't that cool? Looks so stylish on a dinner table or any table.... And this is cheap too - you just have to drink lotsa wine which is not a bad thing either......:)

Nagy renovalas elott allunk ( brrrrrrrrrrrr), de ez uj butorokat is jelent, aminek viszont orulok!:) Nekem lakasokban is a "fuzios" tetszik, ami nalam annyit jelent, hogy szeretem keverni a regit ujjal, a boltit a kezmuvessel, a modernt a rusztikussal, iparit a kezzel keszulttel stb. Nekem ettol lesz egyedi, otthonos, szeretheto egy lakas es nem a draga designer butoroktol...... Mivel van egy "interior designer" ( nem szeretem forditani, mert lakberendezonel tobb, belsoepitesznel kevesebb ez a kepesites, szoval a ketto kozott:))  lanyom pedig belsoepitesz hallgato, igy ez a csaladban oromteli egy ilyen "projekt" :) Szoval, elkezdtem nezelodni szamomra kedvenc butoruzletekben , igy a West Elm-ben kezdve. Gyonyoruseges dolgok,mint mindig, de amin egybol megakadt a szemem, az egy ebedloasztal teritese volt: Zold-okker-kek borosuvegek!! Hiszen majdnem pont ilyen kollekciom van otthon, bar joval kevesebb! :) Gyujtogetem regota az uvegeket, amiknek szep a szine, formaja...   Gyorsan le is fenykepeztem, az elso ket foto a West Elm katalogusbol, az utolso az en szereny gyujtemenyem.....de konnyen lehet boviteni -  kicsit ra kell kapcsolni a borivasra:))  Ez is egyfajta ujrahasznositasa az uvegeknek!:)  Szuperszepek, nem??:)

Keep It Simple

Very minimal this time:  a "little something" from the hardware store, a little polymer clay and a small fused glass cabochon.Copper choker. Fun. That is it!:)

Ez most nagyon minimalista:)  Ekszergyurma, vizszereleshez hasznalatos  rez tomitogyuru es egy pici(termeszetesen sajat keszitesu) uveggyongy. Rez rovidlanc. Ennyi. :)

Industrial Chic

 

Here is my next piece of my Industrial Chic Collection. It was made from garden faucet.:)

I'm a regular visitor in hardware stores nowadays. It is a gold mine for me:) Usually there are not too many women in the store so the friendly staff always try to help me while I dig around the bolts and nails and some mysterious things in small hardware boxes... When I say I'll make jewelry out of these they have a skeptic look:)
I used coral (to make it a little more feminine:)) polyclay and resin spray - and voila! - this is a flower-necklace. I think it is beautiful on its own way!:)

Elkeszult a kovetkezo darab az "Ipari Sikk" sorozatban. Ezuttal kerti csapfejet (?) hasznaltam.:))
Egyre gyakoribb vasarlo vagyok a "Vasedeny"-ben mostanaban - aranybanya!:) Az uzlet altalaban szerelokkel, lakatosokkal es egyeb szakikkal van tele, nem sok no - igy az eladok mindig kezsegesen probalnak segiteni, mikor elmelyulten turkalok a szogek-csavarok ( ezeket meg felismerem) , no meg azon kutyuk dobozaban, amikrol fogalmam sincs mik es mire jok....:)) Mikor mondom az eladonak, hogy en ezekbol ekszert csinalok, akkor ........na, akkor van egy "nezesuk"......:)) de tapintatosan magamra hagynak:))
Koral-piros ( hogy legyen benne vmi kis noies is:)) ekszergyurmat es mugyantat hasznaltam ehhez a medalhoz - szerintem a maga nemeben szep!:) Vagy nem?:)
